User Guidelines
Please follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth experience for all members of the COS community.
1. Packaging Guidelines
Follow these steps to make sure your product reaches the buyer safely:
- Use strong boxes or mailers that fit the item well.
- Add enough cushioning (bubble wrap, foam, etc.).
- Seal the package properly with good-quality tape.
- Don’t use damaged boxes, loose wrapping, or decorative outer packaging.
- Write the shipping and return address clearly on the parcel.
- Mark “FRAGILE” on packages containing delicate items.
2. Listing Guidelines
To keep the marketplace curated and trustworthy:
- List only genuine items that meet COS’s quality standards.
- Upload at least two clear, original photos.
- Describe items honestly and in detail.
- Don’t use images taken from the internet.
- Submit listings only through your verified account.
3. Authentication & Warehouse Service
- Items priced above INR 20,000 qualify for free authentication.
- Authentication is done through Legit Grails, CheckCheck, or Authentication First.
- If authentication fails:
- The buyer receives a full refund.
- The seller pays the return cost and may face account suspension.
- Fingerprinting technology for unique item tracking will be introduced soon.
4. Shipping Guidelines
- Ship within 5 calendar days of order confirmation.
- Use only the prepaid shipping label provided by COS (if applicable).
- Track the shipment and keep the buyer updated.
- Check the delivery address carefully before dispatch.
5. How to Sell on COS
- Create an Account: Complete your seller profile with valid ID and social media links.
- List Your Items: Add at leastmt-20 2 original photos and an accurate description. No internet images.
- AI Pre-Check: Images are screened for authenticity before going live.
- Approval: Admin reviews the listing. Once approved, it appears in the catalogue.
- Shipping: After the item sells, ship within 5 days using COS-approved labels.
- Payout: After buyer confirmation or 3 days post-delivery, funds move to your COS Wallet.
6. How to Buy on COS
- Create an Account and complete your profile.
- Browse & Filter using categories, search, and recommendations.
- Buy: Select the item, shipping method, and protection options.
- Authentication Add-On: Choose third-party authentication for eligible items.
- Payment: Pay using UPI, card, or COS Wallet.
- Delivery: Track your order.
- Review: Confirm delivery and leave a review within 3 days.
- Buyer Protection: You get a full refund for fake, damaged, or misrepresented items.
7. Wallet & Payouts
- Set up your COS Wallet before your first payout.
- Earnings transfer to your wallet after buyer confirmation.
- You can withdraw to your bank account in 3–4 working days.
8. Buyer Responsibilities
- Review item details and photos before purchasing.
- Don’t share personal information outside the platform.
- Report issues within 3 days using the “I have an issue” option.
9. Seller Responsibilities
- Keep item descriptions accurate.
- List only authentic and sellable products.
- Don’t re-list the same item repeatedly to gain visibility.
10. Review System
- Buyers must leave a review within 3 days of delivery.
- If no review is submitted, a default 5-star review is added.
- Seller visibility depends on review quality and consistency.
11. Dispute Resolution
- Contact COS support within the required timeframe for mediation.
- Provide all evidence requested during the investigation.
- COS’s decision on authentication and refunds is final.
12. Prohibited Activities
- Listing fake, stolen, or unsafe items.
- Misusing the wallet, promotions, or seller tools.
- Fraud, harassment, or any illegal conduct.
13. Returns & Refunds
- Allowed only if the item is misrepresented or fails authentication.
- Shipping fees and platform charges are non-refundable.
